New CEO announced at Pomegranate Health Systems

Pomegranate Health Systems, specializing in adolescent psychiatry, announces the promotion of Angela Nickell, MS from the position of Vice President of Operations to Chief Executive Officer.  After over 10 years in the field of serving adolescents, Ms. Nickell began her career with Pomegranate in the role of Corporate Compliance Officer in 2008. Ms. Nickell will continue to be instrumental in the growth and development of services for youth in the Columbus facility.

The organizational change was announced Monday, February 13, 2012 by President and Medical Director Dr. Kasiraja Sathappan, MD.

Pomegranate Health Systems operates a secure 60-bed residential treatment facility for adolescents with mental health and behavioral disorders.  In addition, Pomegranate operates a 10-bed acute hospital for adolescents experiencing suicidal and/or homicidal thoughts and/or gestures.

Pomegranate is licensed by The Ohio Department of Mental Health and accredited by The Joint Commission.  In addition, Pomegranate is certified by The Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services, a member of National Alliance on Mental Illness, and Mental Health America-Franklin County.

Pomegranate’s clinical team of child and adolescent psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, case managers, and nursing staff work as an interdisciplinary team to provide a broad spectrum of diverse individual, group and family therapies to facilitate healing, inspire hope and promote resilience.
